WELCOME TO CJMS - COVID-19 Information (dates/times) in this newsletter is based on a regular Phase 3 opening of school. Any changes, in the event of a Phase 2 opening, will be sent home as soon as information is finalized.


SCHOLARSHIPS ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE Scholarships are available. If your student or a student you know is in need of a scholarship for field trips, school supplies, glasses, coats, shoes, boots or other important items, please contact Mrs. Seiger in the main office. CJ MAIN OFFICE OPEN 8AM - NOON


AUG 25 - SCHEDULE PICK UP DAY Schedule pick up for all students will start at 7:30 am on Tuesday, August 25 and end at 1:00 pm. Parents must accompany their student to pick up a schedule. At the pickup you will be able to pick up your schedule and locker assignment, purchase Health Enhancement t-shirts and set up your student lunch account. Parents and students will both need to sign forms regarding Internet use and eligibility for activities at the time of the pick up. If you are not able to attend the schedule pick up day, schedules can be picked up in the school counseling office starting on Wednesday, August 26 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Parents must accompany their student for schedule pickup on this day also.


AUG 25 - 3:00-4:00 MEET AND GREET YOUR TEACHERS -BRING YOUR SCHEDULE -


AUG 25 - 6TH GRADE PARENT ORIENTATION This interactive parent workshop is a time for all 6th grade parents to discuss topics that are relevant to the transition into middle school. The Parent Liaison will guide this discussion which will include topics ranging from development to homework support during the middle school years. There will be more information to follow but the dates for this workshop are as follows: CJMS WHEN: Thursday, August 27th 4:00-6:00 pm – Choir Room (immediately following Teacher Meet and Greet – childcare provided), What to expect from the workshop * Learn tips for partnering with the school to help your child succeed. *Develop ideas for a positive home learning environment. *Meet and get to know other 6th grade parents in your school. *Talk about normal range of development for your 6th grader.
